K-Stew finds humour in celeb status
Kristen Stewart sends up her celebrity lifestyle and A-List status in new film Clouds Of Sils Maria.
The Twilight star plays the assistant to an international, revered veteran actress named Maria Enders, played by Juliette Binoche, in the film which has premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
"For Kristen to play the assistant was hilarious," said Juliette. "Those kind of details she knows more than I do, in a way, because she's really in a world of paparazzi and all that. We had a lot of discussions about that."
Ironic scenes featuring Kristen - who has grown up in the spotlight and became embroiled in a tabloid scandal when she cheated on her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders - include being ignored by the paparazzi as she opens the door for Maria.
Reading prospective scripts for the actress, the Twilight star notes that one has werewolves "for some reason".
And her character relishes retelling tabloid stories about a famous, scandal-plagued Hollywood starlet, played by Chloe Grace Moretz, defending her gossiping by saying, "It's celebrity news. It's fun."
