Lake Bell to direct second film
Lake Bell has landed another directing job, signing on for an adaptation of a book by Claire Messud.
The 35-year-old actress, who made her debut behind the cameras when she directed In A World last year, will take the reins on the big screen version of The Emperor's Children, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows "three entitled but unsuccessful late twentysomethings who orbit the life of a famous journalist in the months before and after the events of 9/11".
The script will be written by Noah Baumbach.
Boston Legal star Lake won acclaim for In A World, which was a financial success and won accolades including the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance.
