Lea Michele: I want to make films

Glee's Lea Michele has revealed she'd love to make another film when the TV show ends.

The actress stars as a wannabe singer trapped in a lift with Ashton Kutcher in New Year's Eve - and speaking at the film's world premiere, she revealed her hopes to build on her movie career in 2012.

"I'm just hoping to finish season three of Glee, bring it out, make it a great, strong season and spend time with my family, and hopefully do another film, that would be really great," the 25-year-old said.

Michele is next set to appear alongside Hugh Dancy and Patrick Stewart in animation Dorothy of Oz.

She was one of the ensemble cast praised by New Year's Eve director Garry Marshall.

"New Year's Eve, we shot a lot in the middle of the night, three, four, five in the morning - all these people, they look so glamorous now," he laughed.

"They really are artists and they work very hard."

Pretty Woman director Garry, who also made Valentine's Day, brought together actors including Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigl and Halle Berry for his latest film, which follows various New Yorkers on the last day of 2011.
