Love Island: How to apply to be a contestant next year

TV lovers are mourning the end of Love Island, but fear not as a new series has already been commissioned for 2018 - and applications are now open.

The hit reality series has been the talk of the summer, with everyone from Phillip Schofield to Jeremy Corbyn expressing their opinion on the show (he was rooting for Marcel).

So while it may seem like there is now a Love Island shaped hole in your life, this can easily be mended with the knowledge that more is on the way.

And if you fancy spending a few weeks in the famous Villa discussing why someone is 'your type on paper' why not apply?

The application form reads: "ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of a summer of love.

"The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another - but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public who ultimately decide who stays on Love Island."
