Lovibond joins Mr Popper's Penguins
Ophelia Lovibond has joined the cast of Mr Popper's Penguins alongside Jim Carrey.
The up-and-coming British actress will play his personal assistant in the comedy, based on the award-winning book by Richard and Florence Atwater, about high-flying businessman Mr Popper (Jim) who inherits six penguins, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Watchmen actress Carla Gugino is already on board as Mr Popper's wife.
Ophelia appeared in Nowhere Boy as Aaron Johnson's love interest, and Noel Clarke's 4321.
She will next be seen in London Boulevard alongside Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley and Ivan Reitman's No Strings with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.
Mr Popper's Penguins, directed by Mark Waters, will begin shooting in New York in October.
