Mel B has lent her voice to a fairy in Tinker Bell And The Legend Of The Neverbeast.
The Spice Girl and X Factor judge voices the character of Fury, a "feisty" scout fairy in the Disney animated film.
"Fury kind of suits me," said Mel. "She does have attitude, my character. It's like a little mini me!"
Mel, whose full name is Melanie Brown, said her daughters may have influenced her decision to sign up for the part.
"I've got four girls and they love Tinker Bell. They have lots of dress ups," she said, adding: "I'm a huge Disney fan."
The 39-year-old singer has had some experience with voiceover work before, having previously played Lola in 1998 TV film Creche Landing. But joining Tinker Bell And The Legend Of The Neverbeast alongside Ginnifer Goodwin, Rosario Dawson and Angelica Huston is her biggest voice role to date.
"You look at a massive screen of your character saying the lines, and you try to match your voice to the character. And that might take a few times. I've had an absolute ball. I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience," she explained.
Mel also spoke about who her X Factor judges - Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh - could play in the film. She joked: "If Cheryl was to play a fairy, she would be Tinker Bell. I think Simon Cowell would be the one trying to destroy everyone and everything in every land, and Louis would just be the funny one."
Tinker Bell And The Legend Of The Neverbeast, directed by Steve Loter, explores an ancient myth of a fabled creature with a distant roar and the fairies try to capture the mysterious beast before it destroys their home in Pixie Hollow.
The film flies into cinemas on December 12.
