Melissa George adored Highland life

Melissa George may have embraced Scottish life when filming there last year - but the actress admits her Chilean husband found it more of a struggle.

The former Home And Away star spent time in the Highlands filming A Lonely Place To Die, a thriller focused on a group of rock climbers.

But while she said she "adored" the experience, her other half, film director Claudio Dabed, faced some communication problems.

"I just loved taking walks with my dog and I even wore tartan hats and scarves and jackets and kilt socks up to my knees," she laughed.

"My poor husband's from Chile, and he tried to join a gym in Scotland and he kept coming home so exasperated because he said they didn't understand him and he didn't understand them!"

A Lonely Place To Die, directed by Julian Gilbey, will close FrightFest on August 29, and opens in cinemas from September 9.
