Perry Moore, the producer of the epic Chronicles of Narnia movie trilogy, has died aged 39.
Moore was found unconscious at his Manhattan home on Thursday and died later in hospital. Foul play is not suspected.
Moore was the executive producer of the Chronicles of Narnia films, based on the books by Belfast man CS Lewis.
The film franchise, starring Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan, has already grossed more than £0.9bn internationally.
Meanwhile, Neeson’s latest thriller, Unknown, made its debut as the number one US movie at the weekend, grossing £13.4m.
Unknown stars the Ballymena man as a botanist who wakes from a coma to find his wife claims she doesn’t know him and that another man has taken his identity.
