Bill Nighy is in talks to play the villain in I, Frankenstein.
The Arthur Christmas star would be cast as a demon prince in Stuart Beattie's adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel, reported Variety.
Aaron Eckhart is already set to play monster Adam Frankenstein in the modern-day update of Mary Shelley's classic tale, which has Adam "being hunted by demons that want to learn the secret of his creation in order to build an army of reanimated corpse demons".
Home And Away actor Socratis Otto is in the running to play Bill's sidekick, who is given the task of locating and capturing Adam.
Bill - who previously starred in the Underworld series, which was co-created by Kevin - has upcoming roles in the Clash Of The Titans sequel, Wrath Of The Titans, John Madden's drama The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Bryan Singer's fairytale remake Jack The Giant Killer, and as Kuato in the Total Recall remake.
Production on I, Frankenstein is set to begin in January 2012, with a release in spring 2013.
