Nolan leaves mark in casts ceremony
Batman filmmaker Christopher Nolan left his mark outside the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood during a hand and footprint ceremony at the weekend, reports Deadline.
A host of big names turned out to congratulate Chris, including his Batman stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and newcomer Anne Hathaway, who will play Catwoman in the final instalment of his trilogy about the caped crusader, The Dark Knight Rises.
Morgan Freeman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt also attended to see Chris make casts of his feet and hands.
Talking about the ceremony, Chris told ComingSoon.net: "There is something about the permanence of these things. I'm standing on Clint Eastwood's name right now and there's something about knowing that he actually wrote that.
"There's something very interesting about that phenomenon of trying to preserve something and trying to hang onto it."
The Dark Knight Rises opens in cinemas worldwide on July 20.
