Northern Ireland film Bad Day For The Cut added to Netflix
Northern Ireland-based film Bad Day For The Cut is now available on Netflix.
The tense thriller was an official selection at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
It follows middle-aged farmer Donal who is still living with his mother, but whose simple life is shattered after she is savagely murdered.
Donal, played by Nigel O’Neill (The Secret; Game of Thrones), then sets off for Belfast looking for answers and revenge.
The film also stars Susan Lynch (Happy Valley; Monroe), Stuart Graham (The Frankenstein Chronicles; The Secret) and rising stars Jozef Pawłowski (Jack Strong) and Anna Próchniak (Warsaw 44).
Bad Day For The Cut was filmed entirely in Northern Ireland.
It boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with one critic on movie website Variety describing the debut feature from director Chris Baugh as "accomplished while managing to develop its own distinct flavor".
The review added: (Bad Day For The Cut fits) snugly into the general tradition of latter-day UK gangster pics, with their rueful humor, colorful characters and realistically nasty violence."
Bad Day For The Cut is available now on Netflix.
