Pattinson returns to spotlight
Robert Pattinson has made his first public appearance since Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal broke.
The Twilight star - who has kept a low profile after it was revealed his girlfriend had a fling with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders - stepped out in New York for a series of media appearances, including a chat on US programme The Daily Show and the premiere of his new thriller Cosmopolis.
On The Daily Show, Robert dodged host Jon Stewart's questions about his relationship and said: "My biggest problem in my life is that I'm cheap. I didn't hire a publicist and every awkward interview, most actors have things scripted. I'm going to hire a publicist."
Jon also presented R-Patz with a tub of ice-cream and joked: "The last time I had a bad break-up, Ben & Jerry's got me through the tough times, so I thought you and I could talk about things?"
Robert giggled but remained focused on his ice-cream before taking a bite and looking up at Jon.
Meanwhile, on the red carpet for the Cosmopolis premiere the heartthrob - who looked dapper in a blue suit - wasn't asked directly about the affair, but talked at one point about the movie's steamy sex scenes.
"I feel a little uncomfortable doing that. But I mean, some of the scenes in this were like complicated acting scenes, like during a sex scene which makes it - it's a very strange experience," he said with a smile.
