Paul O’Grady has given up watching television and believes his health has already benefited.
The TV presenter, who hosts shows including Blind Date and For The Love Of Dogs, used to sit for hours watching soaps and documentaries, according to the Daily Star.
But the 62-year-old has now cut down on TV and claims even his doctor has noticed an improvement in his health.
He told the newspaper: “I used to have the telly on all the time and sit and watch all the soaps and shows, but not now.
“Those days are over. My health is better than ever for it too.
“My doctor even said that I am in much more perfect health, it’s given me a new lease of life.
“Anyway there is much more stuff to do in life than watch telly.”
O’Grady has suffered with his health in the past, including two heart attacks.
And last year he was rushed to hospital in Delhi after falling seriously ill while filming scenes for ITV’s For The Love Of Dogs: India.
