Pine 'excited' about Star Trek 2
Chris Pine has revealed he is "excited" by the script for the Star Trek sequel.
The actor, who is set to reprise his role as James T Kirk in the eagerly anticipated follow-up, also disclosed he will have a love interest and insisted fans would be satisfied, reported MTV.com.
"After a thousand questions regarding the Star Trek sequel I can finally say I am holding the draft script in my hand," he revealed on his Facebook account.
"I can also now tell you I have a love interest and it's all looking very exciting. Sorry but I can't give you a date for filming yet, but you guys are going to love it!"
Star Trek 2, due for release in 2012, will be produced by JJ Abrams (who directed the 2009 reboot) and Bryan Burk, with a director yet to be confirmed.
Aside from Chris, Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Dr Leonard "Bones" McCoy), Zoe Saldana (Nyota Uhura), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Anton Yelchin ( Pavel Chekov), and John Cho (Hikaru Sulu) will return for the sequel.
