Pointless star Richard Osman to host House Of Games celebrity quiz
His new programme will see celebrities battling it out in a series of fast-paced knowledge-based games.
Pointless star Richard Osman will use his gameshow expertise to host a brand new celebrity quiz programme entitled House Of Games.
The show, which is set to air on BBC Two in a teatime slot, will see celebrities battling it out in a series of fast-paced knowledge-based games, all selected by Richard.
The cerebral presenter will then cross-examine the star contestants as they attempt to flaunt their quizzing skills.
Each episode will end with a quick-fire round to decide the daily winner before an overall weekly champion is crowned on the Friday.
Richard said: “The show is going to be great fun. Lots of great rounds, lots of competitive celebs, lots of surprises, and, most importantly, so much to play along with at home.”
Dan McGolpin, BBC Controller of Programming and Daytime, added: “Not only does Richard Osman know everything, he can also twist and re-shape that knowledge for fun.
“In the show, challengers will need to prove themselves worthy as he tests their mental prowess like it’s never been tested before.”
Producer and director Richard is best known for being Pointless host Alexander Armstrong’s “Pointless friend” on the hit BBC One game show, of which he was also the co-creator.
As an executive producer, he previously worked on the likes of Deal Or No Deal and 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
He has also hosted quiz show Two Tribes and has appeared on panel shows such as Would I Lie To You? and Have I Got News For You.
