Portman: I am not a movie snob

Natalie Portman has revealed she isn't a film snob.

The 32-year-old actress, who won the best actress Oscar for her performance in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, told US Marie Claire that she doesn't just pick worthy roles, and that she appreciates all types of entertainment.

"I grew up around a lot of snobbism about what was important and what was serious, and I really reject that," she said.

Natalie has reprised her role as Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World, alongside Chris Hemsworth as the Greek god.

"Chris is, like, one of the greatest people in Hollywood. He's the kind of actor who's so charismatic, he must be tired when he goes home," she said.

The mother-of-one - who graces the cover of the magazine in a Dior Haute Couture cut-out dress - also revealed she will be moving to Paris at the end of 2014, after her French husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, was named director of the Paris Opera Ballet.

"I'm really lucky. When Ben asked me if I wanted to go to Paris, I freaked. Everyone dreams of living in Paris," she said.

But she admitted she will miss California: "I just really, really love it here. It's one of the most exciting places to be in the world right now. It's really central in terms of the arts.

"It feels like things are happening in LA, you know? New York is more where art is bought than where art is made."
