Bill Pullman has become the latest addition to the cast of action comedy American Ultra .
The Independence Day star has signed up for the film, along with Arrested Development actor Tony Hale, as production kicks off, reported Deadline.
Jesse Eisenberg is already on board to play a "seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner", with Kristen Stewart as his girlfriend.
Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, the movie - which also stars Topher Grace, John Leguizamo and Walton Goggins - sees Jesse's character Mike summoning his inner action-hero and his spy skills when his secret past returns to haunt him and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out.
Shooting has started in New Orleans.
Bill, best known for his roles in Independence Day and While You Were Sleeping, has a recurring role on US comedy 1600 Penn alongside Josh Gad and Jenna Elfman. He previously played serial killer Oswald Danes in Torchwood: Miracle Day.
Tony, who played neurotic Byron 'Buster' Bluth in Arrested Development, also stars in Veep as the US Vice-President's personal aide Gary Walsh.
