Release set for Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Guy Ritchie's Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie will be unveiled next year.

The big screen adaptation of the 60s television show will be released in the US on January 16, 2015, reported The Wrap.

It isn't known when it will open in the UK.

The spy action drama, starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, will be up against Michael Mann's as-yet-untitled cyber thriller and Fox's Frankenstein film in the same date slot. Kevin Hart's comedy The Wedding Ringer will also open at the same time.

The film will see Man Of Steel star Henry play special agent Napoleon Solo, who works for the United Network Command For Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.).

Lone Ranger star Armie will portray agent Illya Kuryakin and Anna Karenina actress Alicia Vikander has landed the female lead.

Hugh Grant has been cast as the head of British Naval Intelligence.
