Robbins to direct City Of Lies
Tim Robbins is to head behind the camera once again with spy romance City Of Lies.
The Oscar-winning Mystic River star, who began a second career as a director in the 1990s, has signed a deal with Endgame Entertainment to direct the drama, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The story, which will be adapted for the big screen by Captain America's screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely from Arthur Phillips' short story Wenceslas Square, focuses on two spies who fall in love while on separate missions in Prague.
Philip Noyce was reported to be previously attached to the director's chair.
Tim - who has appeared in The Shawshank Redemption and Green Lantern - received an Oscar nomination for best director for 1995's Dead Man Walking, starring Tim's ex-partner Susan Sarandon as well as Sean Penn.
He was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival for his directorial turn in Cradle Will Rock.
