Rose Byrne has revealed she has experienced feelings of jealousy and contempt among competitive actresses in Hollywood.
The Damages actress stars alongside Kristen Wiig in new comedy Bridesmaids - about two women's hilarious attempts to outdo each other in organising their friend's hen party, bridal shower and wedding - and told the Times she is no stranger to competitive females.
Rose said: "It may be a negative cliche to say that women together are competitive, but it's true - and actresses are insanely competitive!"
She went on: "Some actresses have outright contempt for each other. If someone's doing better, they're envious. You feel it on set. And I've worked with so many women like that.
"They're cold and unwelcoming and yet change completely around men."
