RTS NI Awards 2017: Game of Thrones and Line of Duty among nominees

The Royal Television Society Northern Ireland has announced the full list of nomination for the 2017 Programme Awards.

HBO series Game of Thrones and BBC police drama Line of Duty - which are both filmed in Northern Ireland - are among the shortlist for this year's prizes.

Organisers have said they received a total of 78 submissions for the 2017 event which "recognise the very best creative and television production talent in the local screen industry".

Sarah McCaffrey, RTS NI Awards Committee Chair, said: “Our top industry judges have been very impressed by the quantity, variety and creativity of this year’s entries.

"They certainly had a very difficult task and we wish all those shortlisted the best of luck on the night."

Line of Duty

The RTS NI Programme Awards 2017 are run in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, Channel 4, and UTV.

The Awards Ceremony will be held in The MAC, Belfast on Thursday, November 16 and will be hosted by Irish presenter Angela Scanlon.
