Rudd buddies up on Idiot Brother
Paul Rudd has confessed it was the prospect of working with friends that drew him to his latest movie.
The Clueless star plays marijuana dealer Ned in comedy Our Idiot Brother, alongside Zooey Deschanel, Elizabeth Banks and Emily Mortimer.
At the film's Los Angeles premiere, he told reporters he was "a fan" of all his co-stars.
"I've been able to work with a lot of these people more than once and several who I haven't worked with are actually friends of mine, so it was great," he said.
He added: "I'm certainly a fan of everyone in this movie and I want to work with good people."
Our Idiot Brother sees Paul's character descend on each of his more driven sisters in turn, wreaking havoc in all of their lives.
Zooey reckons the casting of film ended up being more perfect than anyone could have imagined.
And she said the off-set activities of the three main actresses were a running joke for director Jesse Peretz.
"All the actors who were playing the sisters were doing exactly what he thought the characters were doing in our rooms when we were in between shots," she laughed.
"I was playing music in my room, and Liz Banks was like, making deals, and Emily Mortimer was with her baby. It was just sort of perfect."
