Sally Hawkins has said she never feels intimidated working with legendary directors.
The 38-year-old, who stars in the new Paddington film, made her breakthrough in Mike Leigh's All Or Nothing in 2002 and was recently Oscar-nominated for her role in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
"You don't focus on that when you're filming," she said.
"You focus on the work, and don't think beyond that or put that pressure on yourself. It can trip you up if you're worried about working with an icon, whether that's Woody Allen or Paddington."
The Godzilla and Happy Go Lucky star, who plays kind-hearted Mrs Brown, who takes in the little bear in the new film, added: "I've been very lucky with the things I've been offered.
"Sometimes you can pick and sometimes you can't. Sometimes there's a plethora of things, but sometimes it just depends what's about."
