Sally Hawkins up for action role
Sally Hawkins would like to give Angelina Jolie a run for her money in the action movie stakes.
"Action? That'd be great!" the actress laughed on the red carpet in Hollywood as she premiered Made In Dagenham at this year's AFI Fest.
"I don't really get those roles but bring them on, bring on those car chases and have me at the wheel!" Sally teased.
The Golden Globe-winning Happy-Go-Lucky star explained what she finds key when picking a part.
"I just love good scripts and working with great people, hopefully long may it continue," she admitted.
The actress confessed it was "incredibly exciting" to show the film at the American Film Institute's prestigious movie showcase.
Sally says she hopes the real-life Dagenham ladies who went on strike in the 60s realise what they achieved with their fight for equal pay.
"I hope they realise what they've done now, thank God they did what they did," she said.
