Sean Bean: I missed family time
Sean Bean has revealed he feels he missed out on time with his daughters because he had to travel for work.
The Lord Of The Rings and Sharpe star told the Radio Times he doesn't feel he could work the long periods he used to, as it kept him away from his three daughters - Lorna, 23, and Molly, 19, from his second marriage to Bread actress Melanie Hill, and Evie, 12, from his third marriage to his Sharpe co-star Abigail Cruttenden.
Sean said: "Sharpe was six months every year for three years running. Then I was in New Zealand for almost a year for The Lord Of The Rings. It has been quite tough.
"It's something I feel I couldn't do now. I have missed a lot of stuff in the past. You make up for it when you finish your job - I would have two months off and see them every day, so it kind of pans out in the end.
"But you miss them and they miss you and it's always the case, but it's your job."
The 51-year-old actor, who split from his fourth wife in August 2010 after four years together, said his constant working away from home could have contributed to his marriage break-ups.
"Yeah, possibly, who knows," Sean said.
The acting hunk plays a warrior in new fantasy TV series Game Of Thrones which airs on Sky Atlantic.
