Sexism row Selina Scott back at the BBC
Selina Scott is to return to the BBC just months after criticising the organisation for sexism, it has been confirmed.
Scott (59) is to appear on Chris Evans Radio 2 breakfast show later this week.
The appointment comes after she challenged the BBC's governing body, the BBC Trust, earlier this year to address “blatant and sometimes malign sexism and ageism against women”.
Scott will read the news on Evans' show as stand in for holiday-bound Moira Stewart, the BBC said.
The presenter said: “Chris makes me laugh — that's why I'm doing his show, getting up at an ungodly hour before dawn.”
Evans said: “Moira — she goes! Selina Scott, she comes! It's a fair swap, I have to admit. It's almost as if my Mum had written to Jim'll Fix It.”
