Amanda Seyfried is to replace Mila Kunis as the leading lady in Ted 2.
Mila starred alongside Mark Wahlberg in Seth MacFarlane's hit 2012 comedy about a man trying to live a normal life without his foul-mouthed talking teddy bear messing everything up.
Mila played his girlfriend and they ended up tying the knot at the end of the movie, but according to Deadline she will only have a "tiny" role in the sequel, if she appears at all.
Amanda, star of Mamma Mia! and Les Miserables, has signed up to play the female lead in the sequel.
The change in lead is due to the creative decision that Seth has taken for the plot of the sequel. He will return to direct and voice the role of Ted.
Amanda also stars in Seth's upcoming Western comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West, which opens in cinemas later this year
Ted became a surprise blockbuster when it was released in summer 2012, and holds the record for the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time with global box-office takings of 549.4 million dollars (£329.5 million).
