Spielberg: I like to juggle films
Steven Spielberg has revealed he likes to work on more than one project at once to keep his mind fresh.
The 64-year-old director was working on his latest project War Horse at the same time as the recently released The Adventures Of Tintin. He told Vogue that while some filmmakers find that "weird", it is his best way of working.
Spielberg said: "I like operating on totally separate engines. I've always felt that when I work on more than one thing at the same time I have clarity and objectivity about everything.
"Objectivity is the greatest ally of any director. Keep objective. Keep things fresh. There's no greater partner in film-making that that. When I'm working my best it's because I'm working on more than one thing.
"I have many friends who are film-makers who can only do one thing at a time. In fact most people can only do that. I'm just weird."
Spielberg thinks he inherited his ability to multi-task from his parents.
He revealed: "My dad was an innovator. He worked on the first computer that was built commercially back in 1950. And my mum is a concert pianist and an artist and a huge personality."
