Step Up hunk enjoys flashing flesh
Step Up 4 star Ryan Guzman has revealed his skimpy costumes helped to keep him cool while filming in the Florida heat.
The 24-year-old newcomer, who plays a Miami dance crew leader in the movie, revealed at the film's Los Angeles premiere, that there were advantages to his shirtless scenes.
"I kept myself cool because luckily the wardrobe didn't like to put me in a lot of clothes while I was filming," he laughed. "That helped!"
But Ryan said even with that help, taking on the challenges of the complex dance routines in steamy conditions proved gruelling.
"When it's over 105 degrees you're still going to sweat, so I lost 15lb in one week just learning the choreography," he said.
Meanwhile, director Scott Speer has tipped Ryan to follow in the footsteps of Step Up hunk Channing Tatum.
The young actor makes his movie debut as dance crew leader Sean in Step Up 4: Miami Heat, while former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Kathryn McCormick takes on the role of his love interest Emily.
Scott said: "Kathryn was a very easy choice, her honesty was very easy to see in the room," he said.
"And when I put her with Ryan, who I believe is the next Channing Tatum, who's a huge movie star... the way that they just supported each other, there was something about their chemistry that was just so special and so captivating."
