Ruth Langsford teased that she cannot wait to make her husband and This Morning co-presenter Eamonn Holmes jealous as she was paired with Strictly Come Dancing veteran Anton Du Beke.
The match was made on the BBC1 contest’s opening show on Saturday night.
Before she even knew who would be showing her the moves over the coming weeks, she told presenter Tess Daly that she wants to make Holmes jealous, adding that she planned to “rub up next to anything I can”.
When the pairing was announced, Du Beke swept the 57-year-old into a huge cuddle.
When she promised to work hard on the dancing, he joked: “I don’t care, I just want to have a good time. I cannot wait.”
For the viewers, it has already proved to be a match made in heaven, with fans taking to Twitter to congratulate Langsford.
Maggie Scarborough wrote: “That was brilliant. Perfect pairing. Legs around Anton, Ruth you’re a lucky lady.”
“You guys are going to have soooooo much fun,” promised Ruby.
