Stuntman stabbed on Pitt film set
A British stuntman has been stabbed with a bayonet on the set of Brad Pitt's new film.
The 35-year-old, who was filming for the Second World War film Fury in Oxfordshire, was rushed to hospital after the nine-inch blade penetrated his left shoulder during a one-on-one fighting scene.
Thames Valley Police said "no-one famous" was injured, and they are not treating the incident as a crime.
A spokesman said: "Police were called at 11.40am this morning to reports that a man had been injured on a film set in Pyrton.
"Officers attended and the man was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
"We were called by the ambulance service.
"No-one famous was injured and we are not investigating any further."
The spokesman said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed.
