Tatum to get MTV Trailblazer Award
Channing Tatum has been named by MTV as the latest actor to win their Trailblazer Award.
The MTV Movie Awards are set to take place later this month in LA, where White House Down star Channing will be recognised for his work across a variety of film roles.
He will be presented with his gong by Jupiter Ascending co-star Mila Kunis, and will join a roll call of Trailblazer celebs that includes Emma Stone and Emma Watson.
MTV president Stephen Friedman said: "Channing Tatum is the quintessential leading man for the MTV audience. He proves that an action hero can have both a quick wit and a large heart.
"Whether he's baring his soul in The Vow, his chest in Magic Mike, or his humour in 21 Jump Street, Channing proves that by committing everything, you can accomplish anything."
The show will be hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien and recently-announced performers include Ellie Goulding, who will sing her track Beating Heart from Divergent, and Zedd, who also features on the film's soundtrack.
Fans can vote for their favourite films and performers to win awards by going to MTV's website, before the ceremony on April 13.
