Taylor Swift to play Joni Mitchell?
Taylor Swift could be playing legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell on the big screen.
The US country music star - who has previously appeared in romantic comedy Valentine's Day - is currently in talks about portraying the music icon in upcoming drama Girls Like Us, reports Variety.
The film will follow the careers of Mitchell, Carly Simon, and Carole King.
Midnight In Paris actress Alison Pill has been linked to the role of King, while several actresses have apparently tried out for the part of Simon.
Love Story singer Taylor, 22, was previously thought to have been in the running for a part in Tom Hooper's film adaptation of Les Miserables.
The Grammy-winner was among the contenders for the role of Eponine - which Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood reportedly also auditioned for - but the part went to Samantha Barks, who was a finalist in TV talent show I'd Do Anything.
