Taylor-Johnson's Kick-Ass thrills
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has revealed that he can't wait to return to his superhero suit in the upcoming Kick-Ass sequel.
The Nowhere Boy star is set to reprise his role as wannabe superhero Dave Lizewski in the follow-up to the 2010 movie, alongside Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
"It's pretty much set to go, this fall. I think now Chloe and Chris are on board, I'm certainly set up to do it. I'm excited to get back in the suit," he told Collider.com.
Aaron - who next stars in Oliver Stone's Savages with Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek - said that the sequel would be directed by Jeff Wadlow, although Matthew Vaughn - who directed the first film - is still on board as producer.
"Jeff Wadlow is to direct. Yeah, I think it's going to happen," continued Aaron.
The 22-year-old, who is married to filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood, reckons fans would be satisfied with the next instalment.
"It keeps the standard, from the first film. I think that's why Matthew Vaughn has got his name all over this one, as well," he said.
"The only way he was ever going to make a sequel was if it could be anywhere close to the first one, and keep that class and that quality and just maintain something original and new and refreshing. And this script delivers all of that, right now."
