The Apprentice’s Ross criticised by viewers after labelling himself a genius
He was soon dispatched by Lord Sugar.
The latest fired Apprentice candidate has been described as “stupid” after he flaunted his intelligence in a boardroom showdown with Lord Sugar.
Ross Fretten, 29, became the latest casualty of the BBC programme on Wednesday night after he told the business mogul that “statistically speaking I am very smart”.
“I actually do have the IQ of an official genius, which I’m kind of proud of,” he said, adding: “My IQ does sit in the bracket of genius”.
He was soon dispatched by Lord Sugar and viewers on social media were quick to revel in the assured Fretten’s demise.
Ross' lecture to Alan Sugar about the level of his genius will go down as the 1 of the greatest moments in boardroom history #TheApprentice— Stuart Bramley (@StuBram2) November 1, 2017
@FifiMutoni tweeted: “Ross the genius is gone. Not so genius are ya?! Am not sure I know what he’s done in any of the tasks.”
@StuBram labelled it “one of the greatest moments in boardroom history”.

Fretten left after Team Vitality had lost yet another challenge after candidates were tasked with finding a range of objects, including an Amstrad computer and a Tottenham Hotspur scarf for the lowest possible price, to mark Lord Sugar’s 70th birthday.
But after the group made a loss of more than £430, the business mogul singled out Fretten as a “fish out of water” on the show and criticised him for doing too little.
