The Fall series 3 finale: Who will win final fight between Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson?

More than half of our poll voters think Detective Gibson will triumph - have your say below

By Claire Williamson

The end is nigh and The Fall fans are bracing themselves with just two episodes left to find out what becomes of Paul Spector.

There had been an excruciating wait after Spector (Jamie Dornan) lay shot in the arms of detective Stella Gibson in the excruciating cliff-hanger end of series two.

But now, with Spector very much alive, attention is turning to how the series will wrap up.

And with just two episodes left - there is a lot of ground to cover.

The final two episodes will air on consecutive nights - Thursday October 27 and Friday October 28.

The show stars Holywood's Jamie Dornan as serial killer Spector and X-Files FBI agent Gillian Anderson as tough-talking detective Gibson.

Gibson, seconded to Belfast from the Metropolitan Police, is tasked to sniff out serial killer Spector who stalks the city streets for his female prey.

The Fall: 'Stella's so at ease with who she is as a woman, there are lots of things I like about her... I wish I was her'

Speaking previously about series three, Dornan said: "You can expect the unexpected. There's quite remarkable turns in the third season that I really genuinely think people won't see coming that are hugely exciting."

This series got off to a rocky start with many comparing it to a medical drama after a lengthy opening episode focusing on the hospital treatment for Spector.

The serial killer claims he can't remember any of the heinous crimes he has committed and thinks he is in 2006 - but will a quizzing from Stella tonight jog his memory?

The trailer for Thursday's night instalment hears Gibson say: "Drop the charade Peter, you remember everything".

Who do you think will win the final fight between Spector and Stella?

The final two episodes will air on Thursday October 27 and Friday October 28 at 9pm on BBC2.
