Watch: New scenes added to Game of Thrones tapestry at Ulster Museum

A new section has been added to the Game of Thrones tapestry at the Ulster Museum, depicting several scenes from the series seven premiere 'Dragonstone.'

This includes Arya Stark with the Lannister soldiers, Euron Greyjoy’s fleet sailing into King’s Landing, Daenerys and Tyrion contemplating the invasion of Westeros over the Painted Table, as well as Dany’s allies sailing to Dragonstone.

The new section of the tapestry will be on display in the Ulster Museum from Tuesday, July 25.

Tourism Ireland revealed the new installation last week, as part of a new campaign to entice more Game of Thrones fans to Northern Ireland.

The Bayeux-style tapestry depicts scenes from the hit HBO series and will be added to in the coming weeks as series seven continues on Sky Atlantic.

It shows the trials and tribulations of the Game of Thrones characters in its most epic and famous scenes – complete with blood red weddings, golden Lannister hair, emerald green wildfire, cold blue White Walkers and jet black crows.

The hand-embroidered artwork was woven using material from Thomas Ferguson Irish Linen in Banbridge.

Game of Thrones is mostly filmed in Northern Ireland and has boosted tourism numbers here since the show aired in 2011.
