Whedon reveals his Ultron plan

Joss Whedon has given fans a taster of what they can expect from the Avengers sequel.

The Avengers Assemble writer and director revealed the title of the follow up at Comic-Con - Avengers: Age Of Ultron - and had now spilled a few more details about the film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter he said: "A lot of people, because we called it Age Of Ultron and there was a [comic] book [called] Age Of Ultron just recently, assumed that was the storyline we're doing, which is not the case. We're doing our own version of the origin story of Ultron."

Joss, who spoke during a live webcast from Comic-Con, said there would be no appearance from Hank Pym who crafted the genocidal robot in the original comics.

The character will be featuring in another Marvel movie out in 2015 but directed by Edgar Wright, Ant-Man, and Joss said his own team would be "crafting our own version of [the origin], where his origin comes more from the Avengers we already know about."

Joss explained he had wanted to use Ultron before he even signed up for the film, saying: "[Ultron was] the chief villain when I read the book. He's been the Avengers villain for so long, I was amazed anyone was surprised it would be him in the movie."

Avengers: Age Of Ultron is due to start filming in London at the end of February and start of March, and is set to be released in cinemas in May 2015.
