Wilde: Why I quit Lovelace film
Olivia Wilde has revealed she pulled out of playing Linda Lovelace because she felt she was already sexualised by the public.
The smouldering star of Tron: Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens told GQ she had stepped down from the lead role in the porn star biopic and would like to play less raunchy roles.
Olivia said: "I pulled out of the Linda Lovelace biopic. I decided that it should go to someone who is not already sexualised by the public.
"Linda Lovelace was an innocent. Amanda [Seyfried] will do an amazing job."
The 27-year-old feels she has been typecast as a sexy femme fatale.
Olivia said: "I was very sexually mature at a very young age. I was very comfortable with it and talking about it, and once someone hears a young woman speak candidly about sexuality, it's like, 'Whoa!' You get labelled.
"I would like to play roles that are in no way sexualised. But I'm not apologising for it. I do subscribe, in part, to the Gloria Steinem view of sexuality - there's nothing about it that makes you less of a feminist."
