Wilson to voice Hero Of Colour City

Owen Wilson has signed up to voice a character in The Hero Of Colour City.

The Midnight In Paris star has joined the voice cast of Magnolia Pictures' animated movie alongside Grey's Anatomy actress Jessica Capshaw, reported Deadline.

Christina Ricci, Rosie Perez, Wayne Brady and Craig Ferguson will also lend their voices to Frank Gladstone's film, which follows the adventures of a group of crayons that come alive at night.

Owen is no stranger to voice-over work, having played Lightning McQueen in the two Cars films and starring in Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox, Marmaduke and Free Birds.

The 45-year-old will next reunite with Marley And Me co-star Jennifer Aniston in comedy She's Funny That Way and appears in Paul Thomas Anderson's comedy-drama Inherent Vice alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin. He will also reprise his role as Jedediah the cowboy in the third Night At The Museum film, Secret Of The Tomb.

Jessica continues her role as Dr Arizona Robbins on award-winning medical drama Grey's Anatomy, which has been renewed for its 11th season.
