Winstead heads down to The Cellar
Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in talks to star in thriller The Cellar.
The 29-year-old actress will continue her streak of scream queen roles if she signs on for the upcoming Paramount horror, reported Variety.
She is tipped to take the lead role of a young woman who wakes up in an underground cellar after a severe car accident, and fears she has been kidnapped. When her captor tells her he has saved her life from a devastating chemical attack, she decides to escape in any case, regardless of the terrors that await her outside.
John Goodman will also star in The Cellar, which is being produced by JJ Abrams' Bad Robot company and directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
Mary Elizabeth, who carved out a name in horror with roles in Final Destination 3, The Thing and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, will next star in Kill The Messenger alongside Jeremy Renner.
The Scott Pilgrim Vs The World star will also be seen in drama The Hollars with Anna Kendrick, John Krasinski and Sharlto Copley.
