Elijah Wood has opened up about the "amazing" experience of making Happy Feet 2 in Australia.
The actor, who reprises the role of penguin Mumble in the animation, travelled around the world to record scenes with co-stars including Hank Azaria and Robin Williams.
"We actually got to record in Australia for a month with the majority of the cast which was extraordinary," he explained at the film's Los Angeles premiere.
"It's a luxury because oftentimes you're stuck in a booth by yourself, to get a chance to work with the full cast was amazing, especially with people like Robin and Hank."
Azaria plays a flying "penguin", Sven, in the sequel to the 2006 hit, while other new additions to the cast include Sofia Vergara and Pink, who wrote and performed music for the movie as well as being part of the cast.
"She's wonderful," Elijah said. "I worked with her for a few days before I went out to Australia to do the full record, and she's fantastic, really enthusiastic about playing the role in addition to doing the music."
Pink herself revealed her first foray into acting tied in nicely with becoming a first-time mother.
The performer, who gave birth to daughter Willow in June, voices penguin Gloria, a mother trying to protect her baby son Erik, in Happy Feet 2. "Gloria is a mum, so it kind of worked out perfectly," she revealed.
"I didn't know I was going to be a mum so soon when I was doing this, but she's a lover, so it was a lot of fun."
Asked by reporters how her baby was, the 32-year-old answered: "Willow is amazing," adding that she "can't wait" until her daughter is old enough to see the film.
