Woodley takes a Spectacular role
Shailene Woodley is considering a role in drama Spectacular Now.
The Descendants actress is said to be interested in a part in James Ponsoldt's big-screen adaptation of Tim Tharp's coming-of-age novel, reported Variety.
She is expected to play a teenager who tries to talk an alcoholic high school student out of his life philosophy of "living in the moment".
The film - which is being produced by Tom McNulty, Marc Shmuger and Shawn Levy - has been in development for four years.
Shailene, who continues her role on US TV series The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, is serving on the judging panel at the Tribeca Film Festival, alongside Hugh Dancy, Dakota Fanning, Patricia Clarkson, Olivia Wilde and Whoopi Goldberg.
