Poll: Which Star Wars film is the best? Cast your vote

The Last Jedi will be hitting cinemas worldwide this week - once again igniting the debate of which of the Star Wars films is the best.

Many would argue the original Star Wars trilogy holds the best in the space tale of good versus evil, while some (though, not many) would suggest the prequels, which began in 1999.

However, much to the delight of fans, the new generation in the Star Wars universe has proven to be hugely popular with 2015's The Force Awakens smashing all kinds of box office records.

Meanwhile, the next instalment, The Last Jedi, has already received promising reviews as it opens this week.

Or maybe, in a bold choice, you think 2016's stand alone move Rogue One beats all that have gone before it?

Have your say in our Star Wars poll and let's see if we can settle the debate once and for all:

1. Star Wars: A New Hope

The first in the Star Wars tale, A New Hope was released in 1977 and was written and directed by George Lucas.

2. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

3. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

7. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
