Hong Kong filmmakers Oxide and Danny Pang remake their own 1999 action-thriller from a screenplay penned by Jason Richman. Ruthless hit man Joe (Cage) travels to Thailand at the behest of crime boss Surat (Kaljaruek) to assassinate four gangland enemies.
Joe hires lowly pickpocket Kong (Yamnarm) as an errand boy, intending to kill the punk once the contract is complete. However, the usually cold Joe forges an emotional bond with Kong and embraces the role of mentor.
