Watch: Dan Doherty stars in film showcasing Northern Ireland's fabulous food

A new online film series starring chef and TV personality Dan Doherty checking out Northern Ireland’s food scene has been released.

A series of three short films created by Tourism Ireland and The Daily Telegraph to highlight Northern Ireland's rich culinary traditions and the wonderful fresh produce on offer here to prospective visitors.

In the film, viewers see Dan Doherty – formerly of London’s Duck and Waffle and fellow judge with Mary Berry on Britain’s Best Home Cook – visit Sawers in Belfast, where proprietor Kieran Sloan shows him some local produce, including his huge cheese selection.

Dan then heads to Abernethy Butter in Dromore, where he meets the couple behind the famous handmade butter, Allison and Will.

The film is a colllaboration between Tourism Ireland and the Daily Telegraph and has been viewed over 123,000 times.
