World's first Ethereum-funded movie set for Belfast Film Festival premiere

The world's first Ethereum-funded movie, The Pitts Circus, will have its European premiere at the 2018 Belfast Film Festival this month.

The Blockchain movie is directed by Irish film maker Ken Fanning and has been edited by Stuart Sloan, who is based in Belfast.

The plot centers around an Australian Circus Family who get themselves into trouble over a hardware wallet that belongs to a Swiss Aristocratic family.

The Pitts Circus was shot in Australia and Switzerland early in 2017, with post-production taking place in Belfast.

Producer, Toni Caradonna, said: "Originally we were a bunch of Circusfreaks and Cryptopunks that always wanted to tell the amazing Story of this unique Circus Family.

"We were absolutely blown away with the success of our independent movie that is so not Hollywood."

The Pitts Circus will premiere at the 2018 Belfast Film Festival on Saturday, April 14 in the Queens Film Theatre and will also feature a Q&A with the creative team behind the film.
