George Michael: Footage of singer's 2007 Belfast Odyssey concert

This is footage of the legendary George Michael when he played in Belfast in 2007 as part of his Live 25 tour.

The former Wham! frontman smiles at his adoring audience as they keep the applause and cheers going before he eventually gets the chance to address them.

When he speaks he thanks the hundreds of people in his crew and his band involved in making the tour prompting the crowd to make some "Belfast noise".

He then launches into the classic Freedom.

The Live 25 tour concluded in Belfast and marked his first ever live show in the city.

George Michael passed away peacefully in his sleep on Christmas Day at the age of 53.

"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” the statement reads.

"The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."

According to the BBC, Thames Valley Police confirmed South Central Ambulance Service attended a property in Goring in Oxfordshire at 13:42 on Sunday December 25.

The cause of death has not been disclosed, but police say there were no suspicious circumstances.
