Bob Dylan and Neil Young announce joint Irish gig in July

The iconic Bob Dylan and Neil Young will together perform a headline gig in Co Kilkenny this summer.

Peter Aiken, director of Aiken Promotions confirmed the show on RTE Morning Ireland on Thursday, saying he had been speaking to them about playing in Ireland for the last six months.

Dylan and his band and Young with Promise of the Real will play Kilkenny's Nowlan Park on Sunday, July 14, 2019.

The pair, who haven't performed together since 1994, will play a string of gigs  in 2019, including a show at British Summer Time festival in London's Hyde Park.

Joint headliners Dylan and Young will hit the BST stage on July 12 in what festival organisers have said is the “biggest event” in its history.

Tickets for their Nowlan Park gig go on sale Monday, December 17 at 9am from from and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide ,
