Adele: Rolling in the Deep South?
Adele could be travelling to American's Deep South for a lesson in country music before making her next album.
The Mercury Prize-nominated Someone Like You singer is set to start laying down songs for the new record once she finishes playing rescheduled dates on her US tour in autumn.
She told The Sun: "I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time.
"The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I'm going to be pursuing heavily from now on.
"I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee and learn about it."
Adele, 23, is nominated for seven MTV Video Music Awards later this month.
The chart star is set to take to the stage at the glitzy August 28 ceremony in Los Angeles for her first appearance at the awards.
